A320 Unreliable Speed

Hi,

in case of unreliable speed after take off, with mountainous terrain, do you try to stay on the SID, or do you ask vectors or... ?

Thanks,

Don’t take the chances to fly into the mountains. You don’t need to ask radar vector in an emergency. You do what you need to aviate and navigate safely and only then advise ATC accordingly when times permits.

If you are going to deviate declare may day to keep others away. Otherwise you may trigger TCAS. After takeoff you are climbing at fixed thrust and pitch so declaring may day should not take time.
