Thanks jimjim1 . 800$ is quite a lot for something I don’t really need, but will keep looking :) £137. Think says untested. |

As sad as it is, the 787's built-in EFB is a disgrace to both Technology (poor quality touch screen, very sluggish processor) and Ergonomy (very poor placement, way out of sight and reach). I did find a sweet spot where signal is acquired : Bottom left of captain's side window, rearest area of the indentation, top of the climbing slope. |
The A-12 bubble sextant is simpler than the A-10, and they're available in restored condition on eBay for $450 instead of $800.
Search for "a-12 bubble sextant". Be prepared to read Ha off a pretty small vernier scale though (a magnifier helps.) |
Dual gps, window at door 11, on/off button pointing up. Rubber covering shields the device pretty good from pax view. Cockpit doesn't want to go. |

Forget all that modern GPS lark, this is how you navigate. If anybody is interested in taking this off my hands drop me a PM.

You will need a hole in the roof to use it.
