B777 EFB Rev/No Rev perf calculation
Hi there, When we do landing performance calculation and select REV -> All Operative, does the EFB takes into account full reverse or idle reverse in the landing distance calculation? Thanks |
depends if the rwy condition is Dry or something else. Dry, Reverse isn’t taken into account. all other Rwy conditions, it is taken into account. I don’t have the Fcom close to hand but hou should find somerhing in there. Seb |
Not sure about the 777 but in the 787 QRH IP brake cooling pages, ‘reverse’ means full reverse and ‘no reverse’ means no reverse. There is no provision for idle reverse. |

It is worth noting wheat regulations your airline flies to in this regard (FAA/EASA/...) and what (OPT) performance settings are used by your EFB group, as the latter defines OPT results.

From the 787 QRH: “To determine the energy per brake absorbed during landing, enter the Event Adjusted Brake Energy table (Table 2) for no reverse thrust or 2 engine reverse thrust with the reference brake energy per brake and the type of braking used during landing (Max Manual, Max Auto, or Autobrake).” Not saying you’re wrong but I can’t see a reference to reversers “unlocked”? I was taught that our SOP of reverse idle is not covered by either of the tables. Do you have a reference please? |
I've checked FCOM 1. It says reference landing distance is based on max reverse thrust.
