A320 Blue Elec pump pb

Does anyone know why is this switch guarded? Couldn't think any good reason for it to be!

I guess because it is your Pb of last resort. GRN+YLO fail, with the BLU Pb switched off, your life becomes extremely difficult. It should therefore only be switched off when required by the ECAM and with a double check.

Either that or EADS got a good deal on some switch guards and had to put them all somewhere.

Turn off the yellow hyd pump -> PTU takes over from green. OR
Turn off the green hyd pump -> PTU takes over from yellow.

Net result - 3 working hydraulic systems.

Turn off blue pump -> errrm, well the system shuts down!

Net result - 1 lost hydraulic system. Good reason for a guard?
