A320 flap slat physical position check

Hi, In case A320 indication of flap slat is unserviceable or fail in flight, how to confirm the position of flap /slat in flight.

Hmmm Walk down the cabin and look out of the windows that have a little Triangle above them.....You can also have a chat to the passengers seated there so as to not alarm them.....
