744 Off Route Waypoint Sequencing

Hello,

While not flying on the active route, can anyone tell me how close to a waypoint the aircraft must pass in order for that waypoint to sequence in the takeoff, climb, cruise, and approach modes?

The only one I could find in my manuals was cruise, which is 21 NM.

Thanks in advance.

AFAIK 21nm is global.

If you have a route offset, is the limit still 21nm, or is it based on the offset itself?

It is still 21nm but based on the new magenta line, ie if offset 30nm right, sequencing will occur within 21nm of the offset track, possibly 51nm from original track. NB offset must be executed for this to apply.

Thanks, Mustafagander!

Much appreciated.

I was told during a recent training event that passing within "about 2 NM" of a fix in approach mode will cause the waypoint to sequence but was unable to find a reference, thus the inquiry here.
