Activation of Anti-Ice devices
 

Hello All,

I would like to ask you about your experience and even "philosophy" reg. activation of Anti-Ice devices ?

In particular, if you are aware of potential icing conditions at low altitude (1000ftAGL) or even have a doubt, are you always anticipating and turn your Engine Anti-Ice and Wing Anti-Ice (boots, TKS, heating) ON BEFORE take-off ?

Or have you ever been surprised by getting into potential icing conditions, in particular at night, and in particular right after take-off or on final approach ?
