FAA equivalent of the EASA DOA?

Evening,

Trying to understand how design organizations are certified in the US under FAA? The FAA seems to recognize an approval process for "original design", but that applies only for airctaft, engines and propellers.

How about organizations designing e.g. cabin interioirs or components such as avionics? What are these organizations called and are they approved under FAA? Is there a US national registry on them, similar to the EASA DOA listing?

thanks for all the help

The nearest equivalent to an EASA Part 21J DOA is an FAA DER - he can approve data without further showing to the agency, so similar to an EASA DOA approving a minor change. Both have to do STCs through the regulating authority.
