A320 TOGA thrust Take Off
 

Hi,

Can someone give me some guidance as in when TOGA thrust Take OFF is required on A320 plz? ( IAE engines )


1- Contaminated r/w
2- suspected Windshear?
3- when required by MEL ( unserviceabilities of certain equipments)


Pretty sure there are more but i don't know...what they are....

Low QNH? is it a requirement? If yes, how low ? ( and where can i find the reference for that :P )

Additional considerations-
Use TOGA if final Flex temp calculated is below Tref or OAT. (FCOM-Perf-Takeoff-Thrust Options).

if you are performance limited to use FLEX

If you forget to enter a FLEX temperature in the PERF page..you select TOGA :ouch:

When deicing fluid has been used???

Maybe is company specific but there is no reference anywhere in Airbus manuals to use TOGA if you deiced ... unless, of course, the runway is contaminated (former FCOM2 - e.g. 4mm wet sn)

When FLEX is SOP (most carriers today), then a means must be in place to measure engine deterioration. Either a statistical databank and program is utilized, or else the operator must execute a TOGA periodically (30 days is typical).

In our company when dispatching with with more than one 1 MEL/CDL item performance penalty, and when departing a RWY not in the normal schedule, in variable winds associated with frontal or thunderstorm activity, inoperative equipment affecting crew workload eg inoperative engine gauges etc
