Li-Ion Batteries
 

Hi,
do any of the commercial airliners already use Li-Ion Batteries for starting, or backup power?
I head a year ago that Boeing in their 787 would implement an alternative to the bleed air system, which would mean an increase in the onboard battery capacity. So in order to keep the weight down, they would use Li-Ion batteries instead of NiCd.
