Yet More ATR72 Performance Questions
 

Hi everyone,

I am still on the hunt for good ATR72 performance data. This time I am a bit wondering about the real life performance.

In a marketing brochure the range of the ATR72-500 with 70 PAX (each considered with 95kg) is given with 640nm (including reserves). That is with 12950kg OEW and 22.5t MTOW.
Now, can it be that this figure is a bit optimistic?

I found some statements that the OEW figure for the -500 is understated. OK, that is nothing new, Airbus OEWs in ACAPs are notoriously optimistic. But in case of the ATR, each kg of extra OEW hurts severely (as it is traded versus fuel).
