A320 FMGS Fix Naming

Hi, does anyone know how the FMGS gives name to the fix in the approach or departure? e.g for VOR DME approach, i see fixes name like CD33R, FD33R, MD33R.
I mean, I usually just use common sense to indetify those fixes using the course, distance etc, like I will identify MD33R as MAP bacause its located say 4 miles out of FD33R on a final approach course.
but there must be a standard way the FMGS name those fixes. and standard way I should read it.

thanks in advance guys! :)

If you have access to Jeppesen World Wide Text 'INTRO' - The section titled -
Nav2001 AERONAUTICAL INFORMATION NAVDATA DATABASE AND CHARTS

(Intro pages 211.....) will answer most of your questions.
