jeppesen question
hi, I notice in some airports on aproach plate of ils where DA(H) is, some times you can read (CONDITIONAL) does somebody can explain what does it mean please.
tks toby. |
And if you look to the bottom of the chart, you will find 2 DA/MDA's (one higher than the other) or possibly two or more different visibility requirements.
In the example I have in front of me, the higher MDA must be used if you only have forecast terminal QNH. If using actual aerodrome QNH, the lower (conditional) MDA may be used. QNH source is the example I have used but it could refer to runway lighting availability, and so on. |
dude, many tks you are right I didn't notice,

I have two Jepp questions, specifically for SOU EGHI Rwy 20
Why does it have " ILS UNCATEGORIZED" on the profile section and the "LOC 800' " at 3 dme I think refers to a no G/S approach minimum is this correct? |
I dont have access to that plate, if you could post a pic that'd help.
Maybe someone else does? |
If there are 2 DA(H)s published on an ILS chart, the lower value is for NORMAL condition, whereas the higher value is for ABNORMAL condition such as engine failure or any 'landing/approach climb' limiting factors. Mostly due to high terrain on the Go Around Area (obstacle clearance).
