Zagreb is nice small airport. Rwy 05/23, 05 is preferential. Expect good radar vectoring via PIS NDB (05) or ZAG VOR (23). MSA is 5000 towards N and elevation 350 ft. I ve been there couple of times and had a good time.

Cheers.:)

Is Zagreb not famous for the Visual approach on RWY23?
I have never been there .

Most of the time runway 05 is used, which is also certified for CAT2. Make sure you have for the follow me car in front of you before entering the apron.
On departure immediately contact radar on 120,7, which will then identify you after passing 2500ft and clear you direct to PODET or whatever you have in your flight plan.
Call handling on 131,55 for startup marshaller, fuel or wx.
Overall excellent and not too busy (except the apron :E) airport

Enjoy :ok:

Nope, that would be Split, 150 miles to the south.

Regarding Zagreb, highest MSA is 5100 ft to northwest, due 600 ft tall TV mast stacked atop 3500 ft mountain. Otherwise not much high terrain around. Vectoring quality is fair, except for some old hand ATCOs who clear you for "straight-in" ILS approach runway 23 with about 120° between your heading and localiser course. Taxi carefully, driving on the apron is generally kamikaze-style.
