lights acting up
Hello,
I have a question that has been puzzling me. I was on an airbus, (19,20, or 21 I don't remember). At one point the lights seemed to be 'linked' to the engines. That is, as power increased so did light intensity (as happens to those generator lights you put on bikes) Any explanations? |
The FO wasn't pedaling fast enough due to wage concessions?
Got me. I fly Boeings. :ok: |
Looks like power fluctuation.....snag on aircraft I guess.I work Boeings so a guess.
regds MEL |
It was in decent, so that explains it. Thanks

We would then ask the pilots to have a look at the electrics page on the ECAM when it happened again, and they would tell us which of the generators (#1 or #2) was not sharing enough of the load (or had any parameters in amber etc), we would then replace that IDG and the problem would invariably be cured..... |
if I remember correctly when you look at the ECAM electrics page you can see it as a percentage figure beside the generator symbol. If one of them says 90% and the other one says 10% then you 'might have' a problem.... I suspect the mechanical constant speeding function of the IDG is at fault. It may be a simple as low oil quantity causing the problem. ( exacerbated by the change in attitude ? ) |
