lights acting up

Hello,
I have a question that has been puzzling me.
I was on an airbus, (19,20, or 21 I don't remember).
At one point the lights seemed to be 'linked' to the engines.
That is, as power increased so did light intensity (as happens
to those generator lights you put on bikes)
Any explanations?

Looks like power fluctuation.....snag on aircraft I guess.I work Boeings so a guess.

The IDG's on the bus aren't paralleled. How can they share the load..... :confused:

Given that the system is non paralleled, % generator loading would seem to me to be irrelevant to this discussion.

I suspect the mechanical constant speeding function of the IDG is at fault. It may be a simple as low oil quantity causing the problem. ( exacerbated by the change in attitude ? )
