767 Panel
Can anyone tell me what the little +'s mean that are on the different parts of the instrument panel? Seems to be one on most of the different pieces of the instrument panel.

Behind the cross (+) is the approximate position of the electrical contact that provides lighting power to drive the panel lightplate.
If one particular lightplate isn't working generally start troubleshooting with a little 'massage' of this cross (+) to ensure a good contact. :ok: |

Below are two pictures showing the front and back of such a lighting panel (this one from a Twin Otter, not a 767) - hopefully these photos will make it easier for you to visualize the concept explained by Spanner Turner in his post above.

Am an examiner, and would not ask that kind of question
- only "Where was the last rivet installed?" ( Ans: In the last hole ) |
Thanks for your replies, Spanner Turner & V1 Ooops
