Unfortuntely no italian ATC facilities are broadcasted over the internet.

Take a look at www.atcbox.com for some quality ATC from the nederlands and a few eurocontrol sectors. I guess you'll have to register on the website.

We may want to mention why no Italian ATC is or will ever be broadcast on the Internet.

By law it is a crime to report to others content of any 'non-public' radio transmission that one (intentionally or unintentionally) listens to. Previously, it was illegal to mere listening without a permit, and you could not liste to law enforcement frequencies (this is still the case).

In contrast I've been listening which much pleasure to Buenos Aires ATC that our BelArgUsa is very familar with. Lovely lady voices and equally corteous male responses. But no English unless necessary :)

Well, any good shortwave radio receiver with SSB/USB can tune the HF aviation frequencies of worldwide communications. I think if I was an aviation enthusiast I would be more attracted by oceanic position reports from an airplane over the Atlantic ocean, than listening to 121.9 ground frequencies of local airports...

I know that the law of many countries makes aviation communications "a state secret" but VHF aviation frequency receivers are for sale... just about everywhere. Try to figure that one.
