NG Upper DU/ Lower DU.

Anybody know how to bring up all engine parameters to the upper DU with lower DU serviceable? Asked a lot of guys but some fiddling on the ACMS menu is required to achieve the desired results. Thanks in advance.

Pressing the eng switch will blank the lower, and transfer the data to the upper in a composite view. Press it again and all you get is the normal upper DU display (at least that's the way it works on ours).

Pushing the ENG switch will only bring up the compressed Eng parametrs on the Upper DU on initial power up. Any subsequent selection of the ENG switch will remove the compressed parameters. The only other method is to pull the Lower DU circuit breaker, in order to simulate a failure of the lower DU, but why would you want to do that? Some operators have their displays configured to display all the parameters on the Upper DU. Very cluttered. You will see an example of the cluttered DU on the generic "Paper Tiger".

obviously depends on what software you got running in the background.
i agree with 'a very civil pilot'
ENG button
push #1: eng para lower du
push #2: eng para upper du
push #3: eng para gone

maybe you can 'force' the eng para from lower to upper selceting 'sys' for lower.

Perhaps these are dictated by the pin/customer options set, in which case you will have to refer to the relevant systems manual from for the Newgen.

Select 'ENG PRI' on both display selectors (on one side) = tips towards each other. Select 'Eng' - works on our fit.
