737NG
Can anyone help
What is the difference between the 737 classic and 737ng N1 power setting for finals, single engine. steep turns etc. thanks jj696 |
Well this is what I was shown, might be wrong, but works for me on the NG and also used on the 300.
Power settings approach two engines, aircraft weight, just set the same power as weight and it works, ie: 57.5 weight,+ 57.5 N1. Single engine approach, as above just add 15 Bear in mind you might need a bit more or a bit less, this is just a reference point. Good luck |
My thumb rule on B737-300/800 is set 60% N1 and adjust from there, but what "Ford Cortina" says also works, on two engines.
Add 10-15% for singel engine in sim, I've not yet flown 1 engine in real life..... |
I move the thrust levers to get the setting I want to fly the right speed. I've never understood this 'back of a fag packet' approach, and it has never, ever, worked for me!
(I don't train it either, and yet still manage to leave folk with good skills!). |
