737-300 Standby power OFF light
 

Hello everyone;
I'm learning my new type; the famous 737.
First I had some difficulties grasping all the implications and switches in the standby power circuit but now i think i have everything clear.
Everything but one little light.
Here's my question: when you arrive in the cockpit in the morning without ground power connected and apu not running. Does this "standby power off" light shines in the dark or not?
It seems strange to me that a light would be on all the time an aircraft is parked overnight for example.
But I think it does because AC standby bus is effectively unpowered and this light is connected on the hot battery bus (which is always on).
+ obviously the sby power auto switch function is inhibited on ground.
So, could anybody who flies the classic please enlighten me in this matter?

AFAIK the logic for this light requires the battery switch to be in on

I have no access to the wiring for the light but I would guess logicallly it would come from the switched hot battery bus as cirr737 says? It certainly is not on overnight - as long as you turn the battery off:)

Thanks for the replies. I asked the question because I read on the OM chapter 12 the light was connected to the hot battery bus.
Maybe they forgot the "switched" hot battery bus.
Anyway; light is off overnight; that was the question and it's answered. Thanks!
