A346 - cargo limitations ?

I am not sure whether this should be on the rumour section, because that is the information as I heard it; a rumour.

Apparently the Airbus A340-600 cannot upload the promised cargo because of fuselage flexing. Hence to some airlines it has been a disappointment ?

When the A346 first came out, the sales line was; Fill her up with cargo and the passengers are a bonus. Yet it appears that the A346 cannot be filled with cargo because of the said problem.

I like flying in the aircraft, I generally have a preference for Airbus over Boeing, but that is just a personal preference;not a technical one.

When I first flew in a A340-500, which presumably does not have the flexing proplem; I found the aircraft, smooth, quiet and stable. My favourite to fly in.

Is this cargo problem for the Airbus A346 a story or fact ?

Perhaps that is why Boeing has sold 1,000 B777's ?

Not sure about fuselage flex, but the -600 certainly does have a few issues regarding CG limits. All those heavy first class cabins at the front have implications for the cargo boys when it comes to where they can put the non-SLF.

Have a look at the sales of 777 and 340, say no more!!!

I have no specific information re the particular Airbus. However, do be aware that most larger aircraft have fuselage bending limitations built into the weight control manuals etc. I would expect nothing different with Airbus.

i heard the 340-200/300 are already been lined up for conversions, I thought the 340- 500/600 was a beefed up version with biiger donks?
