Just in case you're not - all potentially dangerous cargo is notified to the Captain.

The DGR list will be submitted to the Flight crew prior to Aircraft acceptance.Also adequate access to the Cargo in flight is needed [Freighters].

Some cargo even goes in the decompression room for a while. (depends on company, origin and destination)
