PPRuNe Forums - PT6 Otter Limitations

Good day to you all.
I'm assessing the possible effectiveness or otherwise of a proposed inter-island service using the float equiped PT6 powered variant of the single otter.
With zero expertise in the field of float plane operations, and having spent several frustrating hours scouring the web, two crucial limitations continue to elude, those being wave height and crosswind. I hasten to add I am not directly involved with the operation but will be making a contribution to the public debate.
