737 (A320?) "pilot" engineering manuals

I was jumpseating with a 737 crew the other day when the captain pulled a fantastic little A5 book out of his flight bag.

It was basically an engineering/systems guide specifically written for pilots to assist with troubleshooting etc.

Obviously an uncontrolled document with all the appropriate cautions etc but this was very helpful sorting out a minor problem we were having at the time.

Im on the bus as would love something similar as a quick reference when the docs on board and my general systems knowledge dont answer the question !

Does anyone know who puts these documents out??

Cheers.

Having just redone the entire CB reset/troubleshhoting guide using the Airbus AMM, TSM, MMEL, etc and numerous emails back and forth with Airbus to clarify discrepancies :ugh: , I wouldn't mind an answer in my pm as well if you could.

Hopefully it's not being used as an alternative to calling out an engineer or maintrol? Some snags have a habit of coming back with a vengance if not properly sorted the first time.

Fargoo :ok:
