It's looks like an effort at landing by one of Osamma's men . Generally I think those guys leave the landing part of the syllibus out :}

Another bad landing!

Check out this landing http://www.thatlitevideosite.com/video/2245 :confused:

That last one was during performance testing by Douglas. I believe the forward part of the airframe was salvaged and mated with an aft fuselage (also recovered from another 'oops') and the resultant hybrid/frankenplane became the UHB testbed at one point.

Incidentally, the rules for how one tested to determine performance data were changed after that incident, to stop companies pushing the envelope too enthusiastically in pursuit of theoretical data.

I don't think I've ever seen landing gear do that before. That's some tough gear!

does anyone have any more info on the airbus accident?

SMOC 10th September 2006 07:59

The Airbus one is fake.

frankenplane
That had me crying for 5 minutes! :ok:

I use the same technique in the 717: hit the spot every time. :ok: :ok:

The A320 pic is a very poor Doctor Photoshop job. Check the heat plume for fakeness.

I can't take credit for it; an ex-Douglas employee used that term when describing the incident to me once.

cwatters 11th September 2006 06:15

Use a free picture host site like http://imageshack.us/ and insert the code they provide.
