A340, TOTAL LOST OF ECU POWER
 
HI ALL,

I WANT TO KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF ECU LOST ALL POWER IN FLIGHT?

WILL ENGINE SHUT DOWN OR CONTINUEE TO OPERATE?

WHY?

Good question.
Not sure of the answer, but I can probably point you where to look:
If you talk nicely to one of your maintenance guys, get them to pull the ASM diagrams for the HPSOV (High Pressure Fuel Shutoff Valve).
I'd be interested to know what prompted this question - have you had it happen or are you wondering if a sim malfunction is coded correctly?

ECU is another word for FADEC. You have two chanels of them for each engine. If you loose one, no change, if you loose both, you loose your engine. But obviously you still have a few more left. If you refer
