contaminated rwy ops

Have checked the archives to no avail, is anyone able to confirm or deny that the screen height for a contamined rwy is as per wet rwy of 15ft? In particular relating to Boeing? Performance manuals stipulate dry/wet and I see no reason why it wouldn't be the same as wet (dry too restrictive) but, to be sure to be sure...

Welcome to the wonderful world of Prune Tech Log. We will do our best to help you but you must be more specific in your question:

The 15ft screen height applies to FAA and JAA operators, in FAA land you will find reference to it in AC91-6B.

stipulate dry/wet
What chart, what aircraft type.

Sorry Mutt, I didn't word it very well. To the best of my knowledge my company operates to JAR regulations (B747 400 series), my understanding is that your TODR commences at the start of your t/o roll and finishes when you are 35ft above the rwy (or clearway should your company choose to utilize it) following failure of the critical engine at V1. This is valid for a dry rwy, however on a wet rwy the a/c only has to achieve 15ft. I'm wondering if on a contaminated rwy (as distinct to a wet rwy) if it's 15ft as well? We carry RTOW charts on board (dry/wet/contaminated) however it's not stipulated.

I would hazard a guess that the answer is YES. The option is there to avail of:

Engine failure 1 sec prior to V1.
Use of symmetric reverse thrust for stopping
Use of 15ft screen height.
