Boeing 737 T/O thrust and level off

Hello,

If taking off is done with full thurst (i.e. STOL), when do you start reducing the thrust in order not to exceed gear down/flaps/250kts. i.e. during climb or is level off required first or does this depend on departure clearance?

Also, during level off, what is the delay between pull thrust lever backwards and N1 slowing down (i.e. from 96% to 65%)

Many thanks,
Ron

Presuming that you want this for a flight sim, you could use a default of 1000 ft for selecting climb power with both engines and 400 ft for an engine failure.....
