Smiths FMC ALTERNATE DESTS
 

Most of our FMC's run Update 5.

However, one or two a/c have update 7.5.

I understand that, from Update 6 onwards, ALTERNATE DESTS page is available as an end-user option.

We don't have this option, but someone once showed me a neat trick (which I've forgotten) how to get this data out of the box regardless.

It involved some smoke and mirrors and then pressing EXEC on both CDU's simultaneously.

Can anyone shed any light on the matter?

Go to Route Offset, put .1R, push both EXEC buttons simultaniously.


I'll try it out next time I'm flying and confirm.
