Jetstream 31 info required

I need a bit of info/specs on the Jetstream 31....
Undercarriage type, suitability for dirt strips, tyre sizes, performance figures, field length requirements etc.

Any one have any info? or can point me in the right direction

Cheers

I wouldn't operate regularly on unpaved surfaces in a J31. Water injection required for any sort of reasonable heavy, hot or high performance. Problem is that the WM tank has capacity for only a few take-offs, and the very places where you need to use it can't supply WM. On airfields where an F27 was comfortable, a lot of fuel planning was needed for J31 take-off and landing weights.

As far as I can remember (it's a long time since I flew a J31) only the earlier marques had WaterMeth.

In general I agree with you - if performance is a critical factor, then the J31 is NOT the aircraft to be operating. It doesn't like rough strips generally, and you'll find it problematical.

If performance is the critical factor, go for a DHC-6. If you need pressurisation and the strips ain't too bad, have you considered a Kingair?
