Flap Retraction

What is good practice? Retracting flap from say Flap 5 to 1. Wait until it has reached Flap 1 before selecting flap up (assuming the correct speeds have been obtained), or while the flap is retracting, say past Flap 2 and select flap up once correct speed has been reached for Flap up?

In the B757/767 you lead the flap retraction by 20 kts. i.e. if your flap up speed is 210 kts then you select flap up at 190 kts.
