Is anyone operating onboard laptops with properly researched mod approvals? This has arisen from UK CAA directives on electronic tech logs but I'm interested in a general purpose laptop. I know that mod approvals aren't transferrable from type to type but it would be helpful to establish models that are likely to be easier to approve than others. Email if you'd rather not mention brand names etc on this site.

The www.boeing.com site has some useful information and contact details on this issue. I appreciate their focus is on the provision of software however I am sure they could help. Worth a try.
