Info on Transportation of Livestock?

I know this is hardly a tech question. But could someone give me info, or a lead to transporting livestock in Large Jet Aircraft eg.747 or 767 Freighter etc.I am interested in requirements from IATA, and specifics on holding pens,Capacity, for such an operation? Any replies appreciated.

SLPS

There is an IATA publication, Live Animals Regulations which covers all aspects of the requirements.

Depending on type of animals you may also get involved with national veterinary services who do not necessarily accept IATA with regard to numbers in pens, airflow etc.

Last number I have for publisher is +41 22 799 2523 (Geneva)

Very deep subject, specialist but glad to help if you need specific advice.

I see from your profile that you're in Oz. Try contacting AQIS (Aus. Quarantine something or other Service). They are heavily involved with rules & regs of shipping livestock.
