Perhaps a stupid question re: 757 and cargo

The Airbus uses containers to store baggage and frieght in the hold - can the 757 have modifications made to it which would allow for containers to be used?

Perhaps a stupid question I know.

The B757SF's that DHL has bought will have the lower bellies converted to facilitate the loading of ULDs. Very small ones admittedly, and with provisions to lose load iso containerised.
