Thanks, I was actually thinking about corrections to the accelerate stop distance due to worn brakes. I didn’t know about the change in the brake wear indicators. Zeke, I think that JT is right, although Jepp supply you with takeoff charts they will be using Airbus Model Tables and most likely an Airbus takeoff calculation program. Airbus really cant bitch about Boeing buying Jeppesen as they are all members of an IATA committee called SCAP (Standard Computerized Aircraft Performance ?), which has designed takeoff software which can be used by all manufacturers. There are numerous agencies in Europe which can also supply you with Takeoff data, it isn’t as if Jeppesen is the only game in town. As for airlines producing their own charts, AFAIK they are all using manufacturers software. They may combine this with inhouse software for reformatting the output of the manufacturers data. Mutt. |
