VR / V1
Hi every one!
I´m a student pilot from Brazil and i´m looking for a VR / V1 table of any B727. Any tip will be definitly a real help. Sorry about the bad english! Fernando F. Souza [email protected] São Paulo, Brazil |
Hi!
I don't believe one woul exist I'm afraid. Vr is aircraft weight dependent, where as the split between this and V1 is airfield and environment dependent. You can probably obtain a list of Vr speeds for given weights but only a performance manual could give you the V1 speeds. Hope this helps. SR |

Modern Boeings have a performance sheet known as the "hand dandy" which gives balanced field performance by weight. Don't know if the 727 was supplied with one though.. |
It's been some time, but a rough guide is half the T/off weight plus 5knots:197,000=
148+5(V1/V2 generally within 2knots) Cheers |
In the quick reference handbook of the b727 you'll find that table, you start with the pressure ALT and temp, then you move to flaps settings (5,15,20,25.), Gross wt. the table assumes that antiskid and nose gear brakes operative, but not many 727 have the brakes for the nose gear, the correction is to reduce V1 by 1 knot. For 727 perf normal ops V1= VR

Sure I read once that the 727 is always balance field due to an impressive stopping ability. Nose wheel braking? Is this so?
