No AutoFeather Test in Tail wind

Aircraft :) HC-6-300. .Tried to test the Auto feather in direct tailwind and one side would notfeather , tried twice , then turned into direct head wind and worked normally, any comments?.......

Yes it's a Twin Otter PT 6A -27
