DC-10 question

Hello everyone,I was watching a Nortwest DC-10 land the other day and i noticed fluid
falling from the back of the aircraft.

What makes you so sure that it is fluid? On a humid day, any airplane (not just DC-10)taking-off or coming in for landing will have some form of 'condensation trails' especially at the wing-tips. These very short-lived visible moisture is probably due to the low pressure created by the wing.

Look again.

Did it just come out of SASCO?

Fuel/hydraulic fluid/water/coffee/tea/orange juice/bog juice/etc, take your pick!

Danish Pilot, thanks for the very beautiful picture. Exactly what I am referring to. Great shot.

Old Dog,
If you're impressed by that, a B737 on a humid day will blow you away. :)

mustafagander, I agree. I have watched quite a lot of B737 landings in humid days. Yes, it is a sight to behold. But DC-10 is unique in a special way, I spent many wonderful years on that beautiful plane. I miss the DC-10 very much.
