Looking for good tutorial on installing vacuum-driven gyro instruments.

I'm looking for a good tutorial on installing vacuum driven gyro instruments in an experimental aircraft. I understand the basics, but not the finer points yet! :confused: Questions arising: 1) should instruments be connected to vacuum in series or parallel, 2) what sort of regulator should be obtained & where from (UK), 3) does the regulator need constant adjustment throughout this aircraft's 20,000ft operating ceiling, 4) what would the estimated, combined flow rate in l or cu.ft. per second be, for a horizon gyro and a heading indicator? I have a question, reading the post again.
I fail to see how the instruments COULD be connected in series. There is only a vaccuum conection and the static air input, normaly via a internal filter if I recall. Therefore, as I see it they could obviously only be connected in parallel. |
