Minimum Diversion Fuel
Normally minimum diversion fuel includes alternate fuel+final reserve fuel but Does minimum diversion fuel calculation starts after the completion of a missed approach procedure fuel or it’s not covering the fuel of missap ?
please attach if you have a PANOPS or relevant doc if you have ? |

Hi. You need flight operations document
ICAO Annex 6 Far Part 121 or other EASA Air Ops. Where I am the name is Alternate fuel and Final reserve fuel. Because the Trip fuel does not include the G-A, obviously Alternate fuel has to. 'to cover the missed approach procedure of the expected runway until the holding fix / its final point, join the appropriate airway to ALTN and...' We are speaking strictly of the flight planning phase and dispatch requirements. |
Diversion fuel is calculated from the missed approach point.
you operational flight plan will show you the route for which that fuel applies. your decision to go around try again will be based on the fuel you have on top of that, Unless you decided to use your destination as your alternate in which case you just need to shut down with 30 mins of fuel onboard. |
