737NG microphone bias voltage

So im looking at using a modmic (typically used for PC gaming), together with a WYZE noise cancelling headset. My issue is with the DC voltage bias for the mic. the modmic can accept up to 12v.

What is the DC voltage bias for the 737NG?

I think you're asking for trouble if you use anything other than equipment approved by your airline or Boeing.

Our airline does not approve anything.. nor does boeing for that matter. Ill be fine

I don't know the answer, which doesn't help you. However, phantom power for microphones can be as high as 48V, so be cautious. Perhaps you could take a voltmeter with you and simply measure the voltage across the microphone pins of the headset connector.

But I would heed Fursty Ferret's warning - the last thing you need is smoke in the cockpit or a loss of communications through using non-approved home made equipment
