Best Airbus 320 study guide or App

I see via google that numerous Airbus 320 study guides or apps exist. For a new-hire at an airline, with zero big airliner time (all business/corporate), what app is a good one to get ?

I'm in the hold pool of an A320 operator and I've recently started looking into it. Plenty of nice resources on the internet. SmartCockpit is a good place to start and Airbusdriver.net is another site that is being kept up to date.
Then you have Airbus A320: An Advanced Systems Guide and Thea320studyguide.com. To practice ECAM handling there is www.usebeforeflight.com. And there is also https://v-prep.com/.

But at the beginning, you're better off sticking with your operator FCOM.

I have all of the above and I very much recommend https://thea320studyguide.com/?olsPage=products it’s my favourite one in particular because I like a physical book which you can get this in (not sure though about USA shipping) I’m sure the iBook is just as good. It’s great when you just need a refresh of things as it doesn’t bore you in detail and is a nice read.
i also have Airbus A320: An Advanced Systems Guide on the iBook format (shame they don’t do a hard copy) as it goes into lovely detail and the pictures are brilliant. It’s great learning about things such as LGCIU’s etc and it actually shows you what they physically look like and where they are. FCOM just get boring.

Primacy is powerful. you'r operator may do things differently. My advise is to go over this to get a basic idea of the systems; but wait until training. unlearning stuff is a nightmare....

Work your way through the many Airbus Safety First magazines (now an app). These are absolute gems and way more useful than playing through random ECAM scenarios.

Anyone had experience with v-prep? Their videos on YouTube seem decent quality. But it’s a lot of money to fork out for a yearly subscription?

FCOM is a horrible read with its data units and incredibly light on detail. Most of us would like something a bit more user friendly.

Read Ecam is a free piece of software and I find it quite useful before. sim.

The FCOM and FCTM have all the info a new-hire with zero big airliner time needs. No need to go more into detail prior or during a type-rating. That can be done at a later stage.

My advice is not to study in advance. You can already have a look at the FCOM and FCTM if you want, but follow your company's training syllabus. Use the provided CBT course and after completing the module of a particular system, study the relevant chapter in the FCOM. That way, reading the FCOM will be easier and it's going to make a lot more sense. The FCOM is a big chunk, but going through it step by step will make it easier. After the systems, study the procedures and limitations chapters and have a look at the performance chapter. And know where to find what.

Sure they do. It's still a poorly written / laid out document though. I fully understand someone wanting something else to fill in the blanks or just add interest.
