1ST Revalidation on SIM(no PBN)/or MULTI Piston PLANE?

Hello fellow aviators,

I am about to attend a revalidation for the first time this year, as you know it can be done in the SIM(MEP/IR) and normally i can continue my job hunting with that. however i was made aware that PBN privileges is something to consider.

My question is how much would that affect me just doing the sim and revalidate myself on the sim only in terms of job finding? it is simply the question of cost for me, i would do it all in the plane (a whole check in the plane)in order to be more current on things like LAND/MEP,despite i would never fly multi piston.
The the thing that gets me is 'PBN' and how important that it could be for me to find a job at least for this year, cause obviously next year comes i will have to do everything in the plane regardless?

I personally did it in the SIM last September and you finish having a ME-IR not an MEP-IR (which if you apply to some jobs is a problem) . I then found a job in February so it's seems that it didn't influenced in my case.

Nevertheless I never heard anything about PBN privilege so I don't know l for you.

Note that if you don't find a job and have to revalidate again in one year, you most probably will have to do 2 hours of retraining in the plane !
