B777 Kreuger flap
 

Hi,

FCOM 2 mentions "A two–position Krueger flap provides a seal between the inboard slat and engine nacelle on each wing."

I tried to catch the slats and flaps extension during landing on youtube but don't seem to observe the movement of the krueger flaps. Any idea?

FCOM 2 didn't mention anything with regards to extension and retraction of the krueger flaps too. Am I missing something?

The krueger flap in fcom point to the surface above the nacelle attachment...as per attachment

And the surface doesn't extend in the video..pls correct me if im wrong

I think it is just a gap seal required due to the way the inboard slat was designed. Have to admit that it is kind of strange though. Is it on the -200 as well?

The 777's krueger flap is very small, and may be hidden in a view from the cabin by the inboard slats, which extend at the same time.
