A320 Primary&Secondary pack controller fault- question
Dear All
In some Airbus 320 aircrafts, the FCOM states "Primary and Secondary Channel Failure As a backup corresponding pack outlet temp is controlled by the anti-ice valve and is stabilized to a temp between 5C and 30C in a maximum of 6 minutes." What do they mean by -- Pack outlet temperature is controlled by the anti ice valve, what does anti ice have to do with controlling pack outlet temperature.. Confused, pls help Regards BusBO |
Hi positionbusbo,
what does anti ice have to do with controlling pack outlet temperature.. If the Pack outlet temperature is below 0 degrees C, then there is a danger of ice build up in the ducting etc. To ensure the temperature is above 0C, an anti-ice valve is fitted which can introduce hot bleed air just downstream of the pack turbine. |
Thank You. :)
