A321 - NORM BRK FAULT
Does anyone know why I can fly CAT 2 ONLY with a BRAKES NORM BRK FAULT on a A321? I just loose NORM BRK and AUTO BRK.
I couldn't find any restriction in the table REQUIRED EQUIPMENT FOR CAT2 AND CAT3. Thank you!!! |
Antiskid is required for CAT 3. You lose antiskid with the said fault.

You have ALTN Y NRK WITH A/SKID, so not an issue. |
A321 Normal Brake Fault
Hello guys.
I have been looking at books and i didn't found anything specifically yet. So if i can guess according to the books the only thing you loss with this fault is the auto brake, in that case i guess airbus is worry you can't keep centerline without it in LVO. I don't think is a matter of A/SKID or also N/W STRG because those limit you only in automatic rollout and this means you can make CAT3A approaches without auto rollout according to JAR-OPS. Anyway if i found anything else i let you know. |
Ah, I was looking at the wrong page at my end. Apologies!
