I saw another feature that is very curious from a design perspective..

Check out the front of the ac, the transition from the flightdeck to the fuselage... very interesting indeed.

Note: engines are offset from the support pylon as well.....

The first series production aircraft is due to fly in the next couple of months, with certification in Q1 2015.

We had that already back in the 70s...

The sound of that aircraft was very distinctive, that engine was not used anywhere else and the noise significantly reduced when it flew over you, as the wing was shielding it, so at the point when all other aircrafts were loudest, that one got quieter. You cound not miss it.

The bulbous nose and canopy are very interesting.
Would like to see the airflow optimization and smoothing of the laminar flow of the fuselage that has been referenced.

Flight deck/fuselage area reminds me of Vickers Viscount and de Havilland Dove and Heron.
