With a microburst condition, the aircraft goes from a strong headwind, down draft, then a strong tailwind...difficult to work all three in a final approach config.

We are almost ready to go live with the windshear measurement system, which is initially set up at around 1500m from threshold, with the FP being about 250 feet above threshold. This will give the winds at 250 and 1000 feet, and any windshear altitudes with the change.
This will show the final configuration settings at 250 which is about the most critical location for the aircraft, aside from any windshear altitudes.
The system is also set up to measure the onset of a microburst, giving about 20 to 30 seconds notice (at that location) to the aircraft, for GA.
