Is the takeoff fuel in each main 2 and 3 an individual quantity or cumulative?
ie 35557kg

There are a number of 28-22-01s, I assume you mean Aft Boost Pump inoperative 28-22-01-02-01A or 28-22-01-02-01B?

In either case I believe the restriction is for takeoff to be made with at least 35,557 kgs in each of tanks 2 and 3 (ie almost full).

Thats how I read it as well, a friend was asking.
Our DDG is written in way that may be interpreted as cumulative

I was refering to aft boost pump inop

Correction made.....

I see 6 different ways of this being deferred, all of which have a maintenance procedure. Perhaps it is country specific depending on CAA approvals. I'll just post the first way...

MEL 28-22-1A

One may be inoperative provided:
a) All main tank 2 and 3 boost pumps operate normally,
b) Main tanks 1 and 4 transfer valves are verified to operate normally,
c) Fuel quantity indicating system for the associated tank operates normally, and
d) The following minimum fuel quantities are retained in the associated tank for the flight conditions shown (normal fuel loading, balance and usage
requirements still apply):

TAKEOFF : 11,002 Kg, LANDING 2,127 kg

OPERATIONS ACTION

NOTE: AFM fuel loading, balance and usage limitations require main tanks 1, 2, 3 and 4 to all have the minimum fuel quantities.

1. For takeoff, minimum amount of fuel in each main tank 1, 2, 3 and 4 is
11,002 kg.

2. For landing, minimum amount of fuel in each main tank 1, 2, 3 and 4 is
2,127 kg.

3. The inoperative fuel pump FUEL PUMP FWD or AFT advisory message
will remain displayed and the low pressure light will be illuminated.
