Security checks during trip check

I know this is not a tech question but more of a regulatory question but any info about it would be appreciated.

My company recently send us a memo telling us that during a trip check by the pilot all the hatches that can be reached from ground has to be opened and checked inside for foreign material and this is a safety requirement which is picked up during a safa check. The panels included for the type that I am flying are engine oil refill panel, engine IDG refill panel, potable water access panel and toilet panel.

I see this quite a pointless regulation. For the reasons below

1. I will do the trip check and I will go up into the flight deck to continue with the paperwork. How can I guarantee that no one opens those panels after my check

2. Most of the time cargo panels are open during the trip check how can I be sure that none of the baggage handlers are not putting something illegal in the cargo compartments.

3. If during the trip check the loading of cargo and the luggages are already finished do I have to open the cargo panels?

4. Lets say I open the cargo panels then do I have to check every luggage if there's something that can be harmful? If not what am I looking for ?

I am already corresponding with the security department of my company about this but if anyone can give me more information about this subject I would be grateful.

A illogical instruction, that is totally impractical, as you mention.....

also are you able to actually access oil fil covers, or need ladder.... are you insured by the company to use these climbing aids, should you fall.????

In 737 you can access without a ladder, my question is how can this be a SAFA finding. It was in France and they can be a little strange, i wonder if there is an international standard for this.

Who said "security" is anything to do security. You are being asked to do something by an office bound idiot. Do the check, tick the box, sign the form, take the pay. As you say, the check you have been asked to do is totally pointless, so don't your waste time on it.
